Why does my denture keep slipping?

Usually because the ridge has shrunk since the denture was made, or the bite is off. A reline or a remake fixes most cases; for a lower denture that will not stay put, two implants make a dramatic difference.

How long does it take to get used to new dentures?

Two to four weeks is normal. Speech and eating improve steadily as your tongue and cheeks learn the new shape — start with soft food cut small.

Can I get dentures the same day teeth are removed?

Yes — an immediate denture is made in advance and fitted straight after extraction so you are never without teeth. It will need a reline once healing is complete.

Are flexible dentures better than metal partials?

Flexible dentures look better because there are no metal clasps and they are comfortable for small gaps. Cast metal partials are more rigid and better for larger cases. We advise based on how many teeth are missing and where.
