WELCOME TO OROCARE DENTAL CLINIC

Dr. Sitangshu Ghosh got into dentistry “by chance”. At a time when this profession was not a very popular one, he was recommended by his father, to find out about the Dental College in Sealdah. And as luck would have it, he secured admission in the college and started loving the subject from the very beginning. He performed exceptionally well throughout the tenure and grew very popular with his teachers. In clinical duties, Dr. Ghosh was sought after by patients from the very onset.

Despite the huge load of patients at the Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College and Hospital, he made sure every single patient he treated got his undivided attention and the best possible treatment the then facilities would offer.

Once he completed his “house staff ship” at Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College and Hospital and then at the. R. G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, he was fixated on the fact that he would not apply for a job, Government or Private.

He wanted to start his own Dental Practice, where he would be able to practice on his own terms. An extremely challenging prospect at the time, his ardent determination helped him set up Orocare Dental Clinic at a meagre budget and a small space in Bhawanipur, on the 21st of April 1978.

In the year 2009 he completed his PG Certification on Aesthetic Dentistry from the New York University College of Dentistry, U.S.A.

Four decades hence, Orocare Dental Clinic has been strengthened by the appointing of his sons, Dr. Shounak Ghosh, a certified Prosthodontist, Oral and Maxillofacial Prosthodontist and Oral Implantologist, and Dr. Avik Ghosh, a certified Orthodontist Dentofacial Orthopedist, Damon and Invisalign Provider.
