Biography:

Alumni of the South Suburban Main School, he completed his Higher Secondary (11th) in the year 1970.

After completing a one year Pre Medical Course at R. G. Kar Medical College and Hospital he got into the prestigious Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College and Hospital, to study B.D.S. He secured 1st position in the Third Professional University Exams and was awarded a scholarship. By the time he completed the course in 1977, he had already made a name for himself as an ardent clinician.

He did his Junior Housestaffship as well as Senior Housestaffship at the same institute, and followed it up with another 6 months of Senior Housestaffship at the S.S.K.M. Hospital.

He wanted to start his own Dental Clinic and beating all odds he founded Orocare in 1978.

His focus has always been on Conservative Dentistry, Endodontics and Oral Surgery.

His lust for knowledge pushed him to complete his Post Graduate Certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry from the premier New York University College of Dentistry, in 2006.

An extremely active member of the Indian Dental Association, he is currently serving as a Central Council Member. He has previously held prestigious posts like Chairman CDE, President of the IDA WB State Branch, Reception Committee Chairman of the IDC to name a few.

Biography:

Alumni of Birla High School, Calcutta he completed his schooling in the year 2005.He joined G.N.I.D.S.R., Kolkata in 2010, to study B.D.S. Very quickly he carved out a niche for himself. He secured Honours marks in Dental Anatomy and Orthodontics. He graduated in 2014 and shifted to Lucknow for Post Graduation (M.D.S.) in Prosthodontics, Oral Implantology and Oral and Maxillofacial Prosthetics.

He won the First Prize in Table Clinic Presentation at the 40th IPS Conference & 8th Biennial Meeting of the Asian Academy of Prosthodontics, held in Chennai, in 2012, and subsequently at the 15th IPS P.G. Convention, Ghaziabad, in 2013. He secured highest marks in his M.D.S. Final Exams, earning the degree in 2014.

He then went on to complete Surgical Mastership in Oral Implantology from I.S.G., Bangalore an affiliate of International Congress of Oral Implantology. He regularly gets invited as a Mentor for Guest Lectures and conducting Full Day Courses at various Scientific Conferences and Meets across the country and abroad.

Alumni of La Martiniere, Calcutta, he completed his schooling in 2009. He then joined G.N.I.D.S.R., Kolkata to pursue his B.D.S. He earned a name for himself in both theoretical and practical aspects of the curriculum.He scored Honours marks in Dental Materials, Dental Anatomy and Pharmacology.

After completing a one year internship in 2014, he shifted base to Lucknow to pursue his Post Graduation (M.D.S.) in the field of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. He secured Third Position in P.G. Category Poster Presentation at the 20th I.O.S. P.G. Convention held in Amritsar in the year 2016.

Dr. Avik topped the University Exams by securing the 1st Position.

He is also trained in Lingual Orthodontics under the guidance of Dr. Rafi Romano of world fame. He is also trained in Damon System, Clear Aligners, apart from conventional metal and ceramic braces.
